Italian contemporary chef Francesco De Grandi is displaying his food sculptures and paintings at The Ritz-Carlton, Beijing's Barolo restaurant from Aug 29 to Sept 10. Barolo chef Gianluca Visani sculpts with food to create edible art and matches these with the paintings. Creations include scallops with cured pork cheeks, pumpkin creams, toasted almonds, aged balsamic, homemade fettuccines with Boston lobsters and spicy tomatoes. Meals are matched with regional Italian wines. Barolo offers a 20 percent discount on goods and beverages during this period.
