Information booths to get a makeover

BEIJING - The municipal government will soon provide funds for a project to renovate broken and old digital information booths across the city.

The Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology will first prepare new equipment with more advanced systems and brighter decorations to improve the old booths, Gao Xun, the official in charge of the booth replacement, told China Daily on Monday.

"The old booths were often neglected by residents and tourists because of their dirty surrounds and poor design," he said.
