To celebrate its July-December presidency of the European Union, Poland has announced its "biggest and most ambitious arts and cultural program". Titled "I, Culture", the program will feature 400 events during a 100-day period through the end of 2011 and tour 10 international capitals including Beijing.
Ambassador Tadeusz Chomicki recently hosted representatives of the Adam Mickiewicz Institute, Poland's global cultural relations agency, to announce it will bring an all-star cast of writers, composers, artists, poets and filmmakers to some of Beijing's most prestigious venues, including the 798 Art Zone, the Forbidden City Concert Hall and the Central Conservatory of Music.
