New york - National Football League (NFL) team owners voted on Thursday to approve a proposed agreement with players and end the lockout that has left America's most popular sport in limbo.
The 32 owners voted 31-0, with the Oakland Raiders abstaining, in support of a 10-year collective bargaining agreement they hope will resolve their bitter labor dispute and ensure the 2011 season goes ahead as planned.
"We are pleased to announce that our clubs have approved the terms of a long-term negotiated agreement with the NFL players," NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said.
