WHAT IS DAWA DOING NOW?
Summer is the herding season, which means Dawa has taken his yaks into the grassy hills for four months.
Three to five village men usually make the trip together and live in the wild, using tents or building small shelters. They milk the yaks and watch cattle graze by day, and make butter by moonlight. There's little time to rest. Their wives send food to them every month.
