Wind beneath their wings

When news of the Sichuan earthquake struck, The Hong Kong Jockey Club made an immediate HK$30 million donation to relief efforts, then organized a public fund-raising campaign that raised a further HK$9.5 million.

In addition, the HKJC pledged an unprecedented HK$1 billion towards post-earthquake reconstruction, with the aim of contributing to the province's sustainable growth and development.

Reconstruction projects supported by the HKJC include a hospital, training and equipment for a rehabilitation center, junior and senior high schools, facilities for the disabled, vocational training and an Olympic School for athletes.
