Beijing

Romeo and Juliet

The Balletto di Roma from Italy will hit the Beijing stage with an adapted version of Romeo and Juliet. Accompanied by the original music of the classic ballet, the story unfolds against the background in Italy after World War II. The work, choreographed by Fabrizio Monteverde in 1989, combines neo-academic style and contemporary elements. In this version, the two young people, Romeo and Juliet, are endowed with exaggerated characteristics and the movements are full of uncertainty and passion.
