Trumpet maestro
Versatile German trumpeter Matthias Hofs' Beijing recital will include Bach's two preludes, George Enesco's Legend for Trumpet and Piano, and Alexander Goedicke's Etude Op 49 for Trumpet and Piano. A professor of trumpet and chamber music at the University of Music and Theater in Hamburg and lead member of the German Brass ensemble, Hofs, 46, began his trumpet studies in 1982 at the University of Music and Theater in Hamburg.
