Students polish shoes to raise money for charity

A class of primary students in Kuerle city of the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region collected 900 yuan ($138) by brushing shoes and donated the money to charity.

Thirty-seven students in Grade 4 at a local primary school held the charitable shoe brushing service downtown on May 2 to collect money for a local children's welfare center. The activity lasted four hours.
