Confused sense of profit

A "golden bus" hit the roads of Nanjing, Jiangsu province, recently taking drivers, pedestrians and commuters by surprise. The public transport bus covered with golden foil has been sponsored by a jewelry company to advertise its products. Though there is nothing wrong with buses being used for advertisements, the shock the Nanjing bus has created is against public interest, says an article in Xinhua Daily Telegraph. Excerpts:

The situation that the "golden bus" has created in Nanjing is more complicated than it seems. The public transport company has not violated laws or regulations such as Provisions on Motor Vehicle Registration, but it does not mean that it is free to do whatever it wants to - in this case, shocking and confusing the public.
