Swing along at the tee with Tiger

By Todd Balazovic | China Daily | Updated: 2011-04-11 08:03

Sporting legend Tiger Woods is heading to Beijing to teach his swing to young golf enthusiasts in the capital. The star of the fairway will tee-off in the city on Wednesday as part of a promotional tour of Asia.

The Nike "Make It Matter" Tour will see Woods promote golf to China's youth through a series of workshops teaching the theory of how to achieve a hole in one and how to train for an athletic competition.

The 35-year-old winner of 14 professional major golf championships, bested only by golf legend Jack Nicklaus, will arrive in the capital on April 13 after presenting awards for a youth golf competition in Shenzhen, where he will take part in an invitation-only panel discussion for students, faculty and Nike associates at Beijing Sports University.
