CNOOC profit rises to record
China National Offshore Oil Company Ltd (CNOOC), the nation's biggest offshore oil producer, boosted 2010 annual profit by 84 percent to a record. The advance came as crude prices rose and output increased to meet expanding domestic demand.
Net income climbed to 54.4 billion yuan ($8.3 billion) from 29.5 billion yuan in 2009, CNOOC said in a statement to the Hong Kong stock exchange on Wednesday.
