South Africa will be the location for Dongfeng Motors' first overseas sales company when it opens in the second quarter of the year, the automaker said last week.

According to Zhu Hongbing, an engineer at the company's overseas operation, South Africa has big demand for commercial vans priced at about 80,000 yuan because the public bus system there is underdeveloped.
