Fugitive falls for cops' online dating ploy
Authorities nabbed a fugitive in Benxi, Liaoning province as he prepared to meet a police officer disguised as his online sweetheart on March 13.
The 32-year-old Li embezzled public funds amounting to 1.57 million yuan ($239,000) between 2005 and 2007, and had been at large since then. On March 12, local police traced Li's QQ instant messaging account and asked a young policewoman to disguise herself as a lonely woman to date Li.
