Dancing with Sweden's cranes

Visitors to the Hornborgasjo Lake in western Sweden can witness the breathtaking "dance of the cranes". The lake, located along the birds' migratory route, is the breeding site for more than 10,000 cranes each year, the Visit Sweden tourism office says. Located 120 kilometers northeast of Goteborg, there are observation towers, an information center, hiking trails and hidden observation posts to watch the mating birds. The best time to watch is from late March to mid April.
