Meeting the needs of a dynamic market

Nippon Mektron, a member of the Mektec Group, was established in 1969 and a world leader in the manufacture of flexible printed circuits for the electronics industry. Its list of clients includes Sony, Canon and Panasonic.

Nippon Mektron produces components for still cameras, digital video cameras, mobile phones and hard disk drives. And it has been consolidating its position of leadership by paying greater attention to China, where it has set up manufacturing and design facilities in Longshan, Hunan province, Zhuhai, Guangdong province, and Suzhou, Jiangsu province.

"We know the importance of reducing the lead time in supplying our China customers. So, we manufacture most of our products there," explained Toshifumi Kobayashi, the company's president.
