Sophia University (Jochi-Daigaku) was founded in 1913 with the idea of educating students so that they could easily integrate themselves in an interdependent world.
And it became Japan's first international university offering full bachelor's, master's and doctoral programs in English, with a faculty of liberal arts and a graduate program in global studies.
This is necessary for today's students, who are surrounded by influences from other countries, whether they are updating their Facebook profile or browsing the Internet.
