Gem right in the heart of Tokyo

For more than 100 years, Rikkyo University has remained a top choice of high school graduates. In 2010, it accepted about 4,000 students out of 74,000 applicants, most of them lured by its lush setting and teaching reputation.

"Although we're not as large as other universities, we're the most sought after school. Our university has a long history, with emphasis on the liberal arts and we maintain a very interesting balance between traditional and more contemporary disciplines," explained President Tomoya Yoshioka.

Rikkyo, located in the middle of bustling Tokyo and in Saitama, was established in 1874. Its campuses provide the right atmosphere for both undergraduates and postgraduates.
