Alpine tunes in to world's largest auto market

Over the last two decades, China has grown from a manufacturing hub to an enormous consumer market hungry for the latest products and technologies.

While Japanese manufacturers have taken advantage of this growth, most have bypassed China as a research and development destination. That is not the case with Alpine Electronics, a world leader in mobile media solutions.

It had already established an R&D center in China in 1996 as a result of its relationship with Neusoft, China's largest IT solutions and services provider.
