EDITOR'S NOTE: People in Japan are expected to get their first sight of a new pair of pandas from China later this month. Japanese officials have expressed their hope that the cuddly creatures will help to improve China's image in their country, where the hottest topic among the public recently has been China overtaking it as the world's second-largest economy and the perceived "threat" resulting from China's rapid development.
