Company milks staff for blood
More than 300 employees of Inner Mongolia Mengniu Dairy Co participated in a blood donation drive in late February, China Philanthropy Times reported.
The donation was in response to a blood shortage announced by the Inner Mongolia Blood Center, the newspaper said. A total of 70,000 milliliters of blood was donated by the dairy product maker's employees. Mengniu formed a blood donation team in 2007 in case of an emergency blood shortage. The team was the biggest among all enterprises in China, the report said.
