Sixth ship to carry 2,700 nationals Mediterranean Sea

With an urgent assignment to cover the evacuation of Chinese people stranded in Libya, I am writing on the huge Greek ferry EL Venizelos, as it makes its way to Misurata, a western port in the riot-torn North African nation.

This is the sixth ship chartered by the Chinese government from the Greek island of Crete. After about 30 hours at sea, we were expected to reach the port at midnight on Sunday.
