BEIJING - A green investment of 2 percent of global GDP can kick-start a transition toward a low-carbon and resource-efficient economy, a UN report said on Monday.
The green economy report was launched by the United Nations Environmental Program (UNEP) at a live press conferences across the globe in cities including Beijing, Nairobi, Bangkok, Brussels, Mexico City and Sao Paolo.
Research findings dismissed the notion that sustainable development is carried out at the expense of economic growth, according to the report.
