Bicycle thief was too smart for his own good

A thief in Weinan, Shaanxi province, who was forced to leave his motorbike behind when escaping from the scene of a robbery, later asked the police to find and return it.

The thief, surnamed Li, and his partner rode on his motorbike to a local residential community to steal a bicycle one recent morning. After his partner rode away on the bicycle, Li was chased by a community guard and forced to leave the motorbike behind as he fled.
