Tennis star's three Grand Slam wins in 2010 make him the favorite for prestigious prize

BEIJING - Spanish tennis star Rafael Nadal heads the men's nominations for the 2011 Laureus World Sports Awards which were announced on Jan 11.

The first player to claim three Grand Slams - the French Open, Wimbledon and the US Open - in one calendar year since 1969, Rafa sticks out on a dazzling nominees' roster and is likely to collect his second Laureus statuette after winning the Breakthrough of the Year award in 2006.
