Kunqu opera gala
The National Center for the Performing Arts celebrates its third anniversary with a special performance. As the NCPA is now hailed as a dazzling pearl on water, Kunqu Opera was likened by Premier Zhou Enlai to a solitary orchid in a garden of hundreds of dramatic flowers. The 600-year-old opera should be a visual feast in such a sumptuous setting.
