* Passenger traffic hits new record at Chongqing: Passenger flow at the Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport is expected to hit 300,000 this year, which is 60 percent than recorded in the same period last year.
Passengers at the international terminal may choose to get to the downtown area either by taxi or by shuttle bus. They can complain by dialing 96069 if they cannot find a taxi or are over-charged by cabbies.
Passengers who need to transfer from international terminal to domestic terminal within 90 minutes can take a shuttle bus provided by the airport, cutting out the need for a second security check and luggage claim.
* New service to reserve tickets: Continental Airlines has released a new service to hold tickets for three to seven days on some routes.
The service is named "Farelock". Passengers pay $5 to $9 and the airline will hold tickets for flights that have been chosen but not ordered. Users can change or cancel their trip within 24 hours, but the charge for using for Farelock is non-refundable.
* Promotion package from China Southern Airlines: China Southern Airlines is offering a year-end promotion on weekends through Dec 26. Customers who buy tickets with a value of at least 50,000 yuan will win an iPad Wifi 16G and those buying tickets between 20,000 yuan and 50,000 yuan will be rewarded with an iPod Touch 4 8G. Travelers buying tickets between 10,000 yuan and 20,000 yuan will receive two prepaid EasyGo cards each worth 100 yuan.
* Lufthansa eyes Nagoya-Frankfurt flight: Lufthansa is considering re-opening the daily flight from Nagoya to Frankfurt beginning March 27, the airline says.
