Multimedia Yi Zhou
An exhibition of 3-D video animations, ink-brush drawings and sculptures by Yi Zhou is on show. Yi Zhou, an artist recognized for her large-scale multimedia installations that combine film, digital animation, photography, sculpture, painting, drawing and contemporary music, made the short films The Ear in 2009 and a sequel, The Greatness, in 2010.

The awakening
Hu Weida is having a solo exhibition of his latest oil paintings and sketches featuring Jingzhe, or the Waking of Insects. "In the Chinese almanac, Jingzhe marks a beginning, after which hibernating animals will wake up, and all senses will extend outward to the world," Hu explains.

Zhu Fandong
A new exhibition named Anything Could Be Sold will be held at White Box Museum of Art from Nov 13 to Dec 8, showcasing the latest works by avant-garde artist Zhu Fandong.
Born in Kunming, Yunnan province, Zhu is known for using his body in his performance art. In this exhibition, art lovers will see his talent highlighting the challenges Chinese contemporary art has faced since the 1990s.

Ballet: Don Quixote
Dutch National Ballet's Don Quixote is a milestone performance by the troupe and initiates the cooperation between the ballet and the former artistic director of the Bolshoi Ballet and current artist-in-residence Alexei Ratmansky of American Ballet Theater. Regarded as the closest to the original version released in 1869, this Don Quixote sparked off a fresh craze for ballet in Amsterdam.

Yo-Yo Ma in concert
Chinese-American cellist Yo-Yo Ma's recital will feature Symphony No 8 in G major and Cello Concerto in B minor by Dvorak. Born in 1955, Ma began to study the cello with his father at the age of four. He has been a versatile musician, playing film scores and ethnic music as well as classical pieces.
