During the coming five to 10 years, Chaoyang district hopes to attract more than 1,000 outstanding expats and overseas Chinese returnees, thanks to preferential policies for those who work or set up a business there.
Chaoyang, which is known as Beijing's Manhattan, has beefed up its talent attraction strategy and will offer financial rewards, loan guarantees, visa help, medical services and children's education among other incentives, said Xu Jianing, deputy director of the district committee's organization department.
He told METRO that the areas where the district most needs talent are in modern services, high-tech and culture and creative industries.
