Weihai commits to eco-friendly growth

Weihai, a Shandong coastal city, is expected to increase its appeal to investors by enhancing industrial development.

The region is highlighting environmental-friendly industries, including new energies, advanced materials, information technology and pharmaceuticals.

"We aim to strike a balance between economic growth and environmental protection," said Wang Peiting, Party chief of Weihai.
