6.3 trillion yuan in new loans

Lenders extended 6.3 trillion yuan ($945 billion) in new loans in the first three quarters, with those directed to the property sector standing at 1.72 trillion yuan for the period, the central bank said.

Property developer loans expanded at 32.9 percent as of the end of September, up from 27.2 percent a year ago, while mortgage loans increased 37.5 percent for the same period, down from 43 percent a year earlier.
