Showing respect with online tributes

HONG KONG - Chinese can now turn to the Internet to honor dearly departed loved ones thanks to a growing number of memorial websites.

Officials with the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region's food and environmental hygiene department set up memorial.gov.hk last June, offering a platform for the public to pay tribute and share their condolences.

By giving some basic information, users can design and create a memorial Web page for a friend or relative.
