Piano master class

What's new

Chinese pianist Li Yundi staged a piano master class at Sanlitun Village on Oct 13, as part of the on-going 13th Beijing Music Festival. In a hall filled with his fans and parents with children, Li performed his favorite Chopin pieces. He then offered technical and expression critiques of the playing of three piano students from Shanxi province, Hong Kong and Beijing, after they played Chopin's Nocturne Op 27 No 2, Scherzo No 2 in B-flat minor, Op31 and Etude Op10 No 12 (Revolutionary) respectively.

A guest performer of the Beijing Music Festival, Li held a solo concert of Chopin's music on Oct 12.
