10-year-old boy responsible for gutting factory: Police

Police in Shihezi, the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, claim a 10-year-old boy is responsible for starting a fire that gutted part of a plastics factory in the city last month.

The blaze, which lasted for nearly three hours, destroyed raw materials worth several thousands of yuan kept in a storehouse meters away from the factory on Sept 22.
