Telling tales fosters social responsibility

Beijing has recently been hearing thousands of heartwarming stories from ordinary residents about their unselfish efforts to help others.

The public contest, organized by the publicity department of the Beijing Party committee and the capital's civilization office, aims to promote social harmony and people's love for the city.

Online voters have chosen 150 stories out of more than 5,000 from people from all walks of life. Of these, 50 stories will win a prize, with 10 chosen as star stories.
