Student group treats hungry macaque with stones

A group of some 20 students who pelted stones on a famished macaque in downtown Guiyang, Guizhou province, has prompted local authorities to appeal for respect for wildlife.

A woman, surnamed Yang, reported the incident to the local wildlife preservation administration, saying she first spotted the hungry macaque on a tree and threw a corn at it.
