The Beijing Olympics legacy, embodying a global vision and innovative spirit, has lifted a local company to a new career height, as pin badges for the 2012 London Olympics will be exclusively designed and made in China by Beijing Huajiang Culture Development Co Ltd (Honav). The company gained instant fame with its souvenir Bird's Nests using left-over steel from the construction of the main stadium of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.

Wu Hui, vice-president of the company, said they won the exclusive license as early as 2008 when they beat 42 competitors.

One thing that helped them to win was their creativity, Wu said.
