Battle with mosquitoes turns lethal for resident

A resident of Fuzhou, Jiangxi province, was recently poisoned and hospitalized after he sprayed dichlorvos, a highly volatile chemical, in his house to get rid of mosquitoes.

The man, surnamed Rao, shut all doors and windows after spraying the organophosphate, widely used as an insecticide to control household pests, and then went to sleep.
