BEIJING - As a teammate of China's favorite basketball player, Yao Ming, Aaron Brooks knows the Houston Rockets will boast home-court advantage for the coming preseason games here against the New Jersey Nets.

"We have Yao Ming, which means we should have an edge. I know the fans in China are extremely passionate, and their support will definitely drive us to play better. Hopefully, we will be the favorites," Brooks said during a recent teleconference to promote the NBA China Games, which tip off on Oct 13 in Beijing before moving to Guangzhou three days later.
