China Daily co-launches new English Zhejiang Weekly

HANGZHOU - China Daily and the Zhejiang Daily Press Group (ZDPG), the leading media group in East China's Zhejiang province, on Tuesday co-launched the English-language Zhejiang Weekly in the provincial capital of Hangzhou.

The move is the first of its kind in which a national newspaper group like China Daily joins hands with a provincial-level press group in co-producing a local English-language newspaper.

"Zhejiang, as one of the fastest-growing provinces in China in terms of economic strength, has long been receiving close attention from the international community. We hope the launch of the Zhejiang Weekly will help better present Zhejiang's image to the world," said China Daily's Editor-in-Chief Zhu Ling.
