It is a time of opportunities in the Asia-Pacific region. Shifts in trade and the changing demographics worldwide tell us that there is an open window for development and growth in our economies. We are witnessing the diffusion of trade, investments and technology and economies in the region are reaping the benefits, as can be seen in the rapid rise of service-oriented industries and consequently of employment opportunities.

However, these opportunities, also present challenges to the securing of economic gains and the managing of risks.
