Fito & Fitipaldis
One of the most popular bands in Spain, Fito & Fitipaldis from Bilbao, northern Spain, will present a show. At the same time, when the clock strikes 6:30 pm in Shanghai, three big screens will light up back in Bilbao to show the concert in real time to its citizens. So while Expo Shanghai celebrates Bilbao Day, the city of Bilbao will look at China during its annual 'Great Week' festival.

Ceramic art
Ceramic paintings by Liu Mingwu from Taiwan will be exhibited. A renowned temple designer, Liu was fascinated with the ceramic decoration in Taiwan-style temples, and decided to use it in art creation. He painted with pigments he mixed himself on thin ceramic boards, and had the paintings baked in the oven. These paintings have the same rough surface, full color presentation and rich texture. More than 60 paintings are featured.

Zeng Fanzhi
This solo exhibition presents his recent paintings as well as sculptures of metal and wood.
"Cover and uncover" remains the most important theme in Zeng's work, depicting people in masks.
Besides the main venue at Rockbund Museum, Zeng has presented his artwork in a church building along the Bund, where his previous paintings were reproduced on the church windows.

Mind Reflections
Ye Jianqing's solo exhibition Reflections of the Mind features 34 exclusive pieces from his Bodhisattva series, created between 2009 and 2010.
The exhibition echoes the artist's concern towards the development of the Chinese aesthetic, as he seeks to open a unique though ancient path to express the collective memory of the Chinese people.

The rock-star gala
The Back to Basics concert will be staged at the Workers' Stadium. The line-up includes China's best-known rock musicians and bands, including Tang Dynasty, Black Panther, He Yong and Zhang Chu. And Cui Jian, an iconic rock musician in the Chinese rock scene, is to headline an all-star concert. The stadium is also where Cui made his debut with the all-time favorite song Nothing to My Name in 1986.
