Disaster relief and rescue

China has always been actively participating in international emergency relief activities, and provided timely emergency assistance, in cash and in supplies, to the disaster-hit countries. China, when necessary, also dispatched rescue and medical teams to the recipient countries and supported their post-disaster reconstruction efforts.

Haiti earthquake

After a strong earthquake hit Haiti in January 2010, the Chinese government donated more than 100 million yuan to the affected region. Medical service teams were also deployed.
