'Fighting Tiger' battles for life without funds

Peng Jiaheng, Beijing's only living member of the American Volunteer Group - more commonly known as the Flying Tigers - which aided China during the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression is now 90 and living with the constant pain of leukemia.

Peng, who flew as many as 64 sorties against the Japanese, now needs help to move in bed and his weight has dropped significantly, Mirror Evening News reported.

The leukemia has causedPeng and his family much distress, not the least of which is the huge financial burden.
