Family of suicide patient awarded 60,000 yuan

A family that had been seeking 648,202 yuan in compensation following the death of a 20-year-old leukemia patient was told this week it will receive 60,000 yuan.
The ruling was made by Haidian District Court following an appeal by the family after the court's initial ruling on the matter last November.
This week's decision upheld the court's earlier ruling.
