Building a transparent government

Former Governor of Hunan Zhou Qiang will urge his successor to continue transparent government and rule by law. The announcement is part of a bid to achieve improved social and economic development in Hunan.

Transparent government and rule by law are efficient and useful tools in preventing corruption, Zhou said.

"As government officials, everything we do should be under public supervision. If we do anything wrong, the public has the right to correct our err or to sue us in court."
