Police suffering fewer work injuries

Beijing police officers have been violently attacked 252 times while on duty in the first six months of 2010, according to a recent report by the Beijing public security bureau.

Only one officer suffered a serious injury while three others had minor injuries and 199 had slight injuries. The 203 total injuries were down 7.7 percent from the first six months of 2009.
