Couple jailed for selling fake contraceptive drugs

A couple found with 4.9 million yuan-worth of fake contraception pills have been convicted and sentenced to one year and three years in prison.
They were also fined a total of 200,000 yuan, the Xuanwu district court said on Sunday.
Liu Zhijian, 43, from Hunan province, was the legal representative of the Beijing branch of Tianjin Chengmei Trading and Development company. His wife, surnamed Long, 34, was responsible for the company's finances and the purchase of drugs, said Wang Hongkui, the judge at Xuanwu district court.
