The biggest buzz at this World Cup is the vuvuzela, according to a recent online poll of Chinese citizens.

The trumpet-like instrument received 22.5 percent of the top-10 World Cup notables vote in a Youku referendum, while "the matches are kind of boring" was runner-up with 14.7 percent, and "not enough goals" took third place with 13.7 percent.

The sound they make has been variously described as a swarm of angry bees, an elephant, or "a goat on the way to slaughter" and you can expect to hear a lot more of them.
