LONDON - A chicken farmer's son from Taiwan ended the Wimbledon hopes of three-time finalist Andy Roddick on Monday and he put his new-found success down to stronger legs and a higher jump.
The 82nd-ranked Lu Yen-hsun stuck with Roddick through four hours, 36 minutes of big-hitting tennis on an exuberant Court Two, before finally breaking the American's serve in the 16th game of the fifth set with a stinging forehand pass.
It was the first time Lu had beaten the fifth seed, or even taken a set off him in four attempts
